Ms. Fitness - Fall 2003, Circulation: N/A, What's Your Number? Pharmanex's New BioPhotonic Scanner uses Laser Technology to record Body Defense Score and aid in the body's fight against free radicals. Ever wonder if you really are what you eat? Pharmanex has introduced the Pharmanex BioPhotonic Scanner, a testing device that non-invasively measures the human body's level of carotenoid antioxidants. Antioxidants such as vitamin A and C, and beta-carotene, are essential disease-fighting nutrients, and are found in abundance in fruits and vegetables.
CNNMoney - August 21, 2003, Circulation: N/A, The 6S factors in quality health product The recent death of a consumer of health products sold door-to- door brings the matter into focus. The problem with the flawed product could well be inadequate quality control. Perhaps our producers of herbal medicine can learn from the scientists at Pharmanex, the science-based developer and marketeer of natural, proprietary and preventative products. A world-class research laboratory with the requisite expertise is beyond the means of herbal products purveyors in the Malaysian context given the minimal return in the industry. At Pharmanex, Dr Zhu and his team are guided by a strict 6S process in ensuring quality extracts from botanical products. The 6S covers selection, sourcing, structure, standardisation, safety and substantiation. As a prime example, the LifePak daily supplement manufactured by Pharmanex has been a runaway success among the health-conscious since its introduction. Most important of all, the fact that consumers worldwide are willing to pay in excess of RM350 for a 60- day supplement should encourage Malaysian entrepreneurs to seriously consider adopting the 6S standards created by Pharmanex.
